Skyrocketing UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald (Pictured) confirmed a few things on Saturday night; 1) He is arguably MMA’s most fashionable fighter. 2) He is one bad mofo. 3) He couldn’t care less if fans dislike him.

En route to trouncing BJ Penn in a landslide unanimous decision victory, MacDonald was caught taunting the future UFC Hall of Famer on a couple of separate occasions by putting his hands down and showing off his fancy feet – a la boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

The pro-Penn audience inside Key Arena in Seattle immediately pelted MacDonald with boos for his behavior. They really let him have it when he took the mic during his in-Octagon post-fight interview.

When asked about the negative response he received after posting the most impressive performance of his young career, MacDonald claimed to be unfazed because he’s only in it for #1.

“It doesn’t matter, I don’t fight for them,” MacDonald said of MMA fans at the post-fight press conference. “People can love me or hate me, I fight for myself and because I love it. It is what it is.

“I don’t care, as long as I fight well and I think I did. If they don’t like me, I can’t do anything about it. I’m just going to be me.”

Should ticket-payers and pay-per-view-purchasers be offended by the 23-year-old’s stand-off-ish attitude? Should they be applauding him for not putting on a fake public persona?

Love him or hate him, MacDonald is here to stay so you better get used to it.
