Vitor Belfort

Oh, that Chris Weidman is quite the jokester. Last month, Vitor Belfort claimed he no longer needed TRT because he traded in the controversial treatment for TNT.

Just in case you don’t understand what the Brazilian was trying to say, Belfort swapped out synthetic testosterone injections for dynamite. Apparently, it appears Belfort also dropped some mass in the process – which Weidman was more than happy to spotlight with a before and after comparison.

“Hang on for a second is this what happens when you replace TRT with TNT?” Weidman wrote on his Instagram Thursday accompanied with the image above.

It is unknown exactly when the picture on the left was taken, but the one on the right was during an interview that aired on this week’s edition of “UFC Tonight.” In any event, the physical distinction between the two is pretty drastic.

Weidman is slated to defend his throne against Belfort on December 6 at UFC 181 in Las Vegas.

A TRT-powered Belfort was originally slated to challenge Weidman for this crown at UFC 173, but “The Phenom” was pulled from the bout after the NSAC banished TRT.

Belfort was forced to sit the sidelines while he, the NSAC and UFC figured things out. Weidman went on to successfully defend his title against Lyoto Machida at UFC 175 in the meantime.

Belfort hasn’t been seen since knocking out Dan Henderson with a highlight reel head kick in November.
