The Ultimate Fighter S07E03 Show Recap

With all 16 Middleweight fighters earning their way into the house this year, Team Rampage won the coin toss and decided to pick first while Team Griffin got to choose the first fight.

Paul Bradley of Team Rampage was eliminated due to a contagious skin disease that he gets when he reaches a certain level of stress. For the safety of the fighters, UFC President Dana White made the decision to dismiss Bradley.

Team Rampage picked Patrick Schultz who lost in his fight to get into the house to replace Bradley. Dana White was skeptical of the coaches’ decision, but all of Rampge’s other choices were still injured and unable to re-join the show.

The first fight of the show was chosen by Forrest Griffin. Jesse Taylor out of Team Quest in Temecula, CA chose to face Mike Dolce of Team Quest in Oregon. Taylor used his superior wrestling skills to dominate much of the fight as he was able to attempt repeated rear-naked chokes that Dolce was able to get out of a couple of times. Finally though in the 2ndRound, Dolce finally got caught in a rear-naked choke and nearly passed out before tapping out.

Jesse Taylor of Team Griffin moves on as Team Griffin is now 1-0 against Team Rampage.
