Shinya Aoki May Return at DREAM.4 in June

According to Josh Gross of SI.com, Shinya Aoki is being penciled in for DREAM.4 in June. Aoki’s return will be apart of the DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix. His opponent will be Katsuhiko Nagata according to the report. Aoki defeated “JZ” Calvancante in their re-match of the DREAM.1 fight that was ruled a no contest.

In their first match, it was a series of strikes to the back of Aoki’s head that caused the fight to be stopped. Aoki was unable to continue but replays show that “JZ’s” elbows were hitting the back of Aoki and not the back of his head.

With his win over Calvancante at DREAM.2, Aoki has positioned himself as one of the best Lightweights in the world.
