The Ultimate Fighter S07E06 Show Recap
After another Team Griffin (3-0) victory the show heads back to the “Ultimate Fighter” house where Jeremy May (Team Rampage) once again began to irritate his housemates. This episode will feature two fights as Jeremy May takes on Matt Brown (Team Griffin) and Luke Zachrich (Team Griffin) faces off against Daniel Cramer (Team Rampage).
During a training session Jeremy May re-aggravates a knee injury that he has been nursing since arriving on the show. Matt Brown on the other hand is starting to focus even more so on his opponent.
Back at the house, Matthew Riddle (Team Rampage) tells Matt Brown about how a leg-kick on his knee has left him unable to do much during training. Brown plans to use it to his advantage. On fight morning, May admits that he’s using his knee as a “way to pace myself. It kinda hurts, but it’s not enough like I should stop training.”
Fourth Fight
Matt Brown (Team Griffin) vs. Jeremy May (Team Rampage)
Round 1:
May starts out throwing wild hooks and knees, but Matt Brown withstands the flurry and counters with a straight right that knocks May down. Brown is able to gain side control and transition into the full-mount with more than 4-minutes left in the 1stRound. Brown attempts an armbar, but May is able to easily escape and attempts to land some strikes from the top. As both fighters get back to their feet with 2-minutes left in the round, May is visibly exhausted as Brown begins his target practice with punches, knees, and a left high-kick that KO’s May.
Team Griffin is now 4-0 with Matt Brown’s KO of Jeremy May in the 1stRound.
After the fight May admits that maybe not being able to train and that “pacing himself” put him in a position where he didn’t have the cardio to compete with Matt Brown.
Team Griffin is shown discussing the next possible fight and as a team they decide to use a coin-toss to do so. Luke Zachrich (Team Griffin) wins the coin-toss and he chooses to fight Daniel Cramer (Team Rampage).
Rampage asks Forrest how he’s picking the fights, because he’s now 4-0. When Rampage learns that Griffin’s been picking fights by flipping a coin, he is shown talking to his corner-men outside as he’s trying to get inside of Griffin’s thoughts.
Fifth Fight
Luke Zachrich (Team Griffin) vs. Daniel Cramer (Team Rampage)
Round 1:
Cramer starts out as the aggressor but doesn’t land anything worth noting. Both fighters are starting to get comfortable inside the Octagon as they are swinging wildly with some shots landing for both fighters. Cramer lands a beautiful uppercut in close quarters and starts to land left and right hooks as both are starting to tire a little. Cramer starts to tee-off on Zachrich but Zachrich doesn’t give up and scores the takedown on Cramer with a minute left in the round. Zachrich gets Cramer’s back and attempts a rear-naked choke, but is unable to finish.
Round 2:
Both fighters are breathing hard as the round begins and they pickup where they left off in the first round as Cramer scores the takedown and gets the full-mount, landing elbows to Zachrich’s face. Cramer takes Zachrich’s back and softens him up with punches until the referee is forced to stop the fight when Zachrich stops defending himself.
Team Rampage is now down 1-4 after Daniel Cramer defeats Luke Zachrich by TKO (Punches). For the first time this season, Team Rampage has the ball in their court to pick the next fight.
