The Ultimate Fighter

After dominating the first set of fights, Forrest Griffin didn’t want to choose who he has to corner during the fights because he has too many guys left. Dana White decides to flip a coin for him to help him choose.

Back at the “Ultimate Fighter” house, Jesse Taylor is shown eating microwaveable hamburgers, but maintaining a great physique.

Rampage is shown taking a nap during Dante Rivera’s (Team Forrest) training session because he doesn’t feel that it’s right to, “get to know a fighter in two or three days and corner them.”

Jesse weighed in at his training session at 190lbs. so he decides to go back home in his plastics to cut weight by playing ping, then going into the hot tub and urinating as he left it. Strangely enough, he was able to shed all the necessary weight to fight.

1st Quarterfinal Fight
Dante Rivera (Team Forrest) vs. Jesse Taylor (Team Forrest)

Round 1: Jesse Taylor starts by ducking a Rivera left hook and getting a takedown and advancing into half guard while landing some ground-and-pound. Taylor is doing great on the ground as he’s inflicting a lot of damage with punches and elbows to Rivera’s face. As the round came to an end, Taylor slows down as Rivera was trying to find a way back to his feet but, Taylor’s wrestling controlled him on the mat.

Round 2: Both fighters throw some punches, but Rivera is once again taken down with Taylor in his full guard. After some inactivity, the fight was stood up with a little over two and a half minutes left, but Rivera walked right into another Taylor take down as they engaged. Taylor ate some punches and elbows as the fight ended.

Jesse Taylor defeats Dante Rivera by Unanimous Decision.

2nd Quarterfinal Fight
Matt Brown (Team Forrest) vs. Amir Sadollah (Team Forrest)

Round 1: Matt Brown starts off as the aggressor on his feet as he throws a punch-kick combination. Amir Sadollah is looking to feel himself out with some unorthodox kicks and punches. Sadollah is able to clinch with Brown up against the cage as Sadollah’s takedown defense is apparent. Once they break up, both fighters throw strikes that don’t land. Brown is starting to land to Sadollah’s body with punches and kicks. Brown’s punches are starting to land with more regularity but Sadollah is landing some punches of his own until Brown is able to score a takedown. Sadollah gets back up quickly, but he wasn’t able to do anything with it.

Round 2: To the surprise of Brown, both fighters take turns landing punches and he’s forced to clinch to avoid more damage. Brown is able to land a knee to Sadollah’s face as they break the clinch. Sadollah looks like he’s starting to eat punches, but he’s able to trip Brown and score the takedown. Sadollah is able to gain the full mount for a quick second, but Brown quickly gets back into butterfly guard. Sadollah fights back to get the full mount as he starts to land some elbows. Brown is fighting to get back to his feet, but Sadollah maintains the pressure. Brown is able to push off the Octagon cage and gain the top position, but he falls right into Sadollah’s triangle choke which forces him to tapout.

Amir Sadollah defeats Matt Brown by Submission (Triangle Choke) in the 2ndRound.
