The Ultimate Fighter S07E11 Show Recap
Jesse Taylor is set to take on Tim Credeur in the first semi-final with the Team Forrest coaching staff splitting up to corner each fighter. Dana then takes everyone to the Palms for this season’s coach’s challenge, a basketball game.
Both Forrest and Rampage are concerned about the challenge as they have to play a game of horse. The winning coach gets $10,000 with each fighter getting $1,000 each in addition to the coach’s reward. Then Dana says that if Rampage hits a three pointer to start the game, then he’ll double the fighter money. Forrest then admits to playing high-school basketball and destroys Rampage.
Back at the fighter house, Jesse Taylor starts to get wasted as Tim Credeur watches on. Taylor starts to act like another drunken fighter, running around and dancing as he continues to drink. Credeur offers to help Taylor sober up, but Taylor urinates on himself in his fighter shorts.
At the training session, Credeur gives Taylor some fighting instructions even though they are opponents. This could be a mistake as he helps show Taylor how to avoid a triangle-choke that he gets caught with at every team practice. Credeur says that he doesn’t care and that he wants to beat the best Taylor.
1st Semi-Final Fight
Tim Credeur vs. Jesse Taylor
Round 1:
Taylor opens with a quick takedown of Credeur up against the cage. Taylor starts to ground-and-pound on Credeur with elbows and punches as it looks like Taylor is too strong. Credeur is able to catch of one Taylor’s arms on a punch, but can’t fully extend the armbar as Taylor gets out. Taylor continues to pound on Credeur as the round ends.
Round 2:
Credeur lands a couple of punches to start the round, but Taylor is able to secure a single-leg takedown. Credeur is able to reverse to the full mount with over 3-minutes to go in the 2nd round, but a sloppy armbar attempt costs him the position as he ends back in his own full guard. Taylor seems to have slowed down as he’s not ground-and-pounding as much, but Credeur looks to be extremely worn-out as everything he’s doing is looking sloppier.
Round 3:
Credeur is finally able to stuff a takedown attempt, but Taylor gets a muay-thai clinch and knees Credeur in the ribs and drops his level to score another takedown. Credeur is able to go for another armbar attempt, but Taylor is able to escape once again. Credeur attempts an omo plata, but Taylor escapes again. Taylor is both too strong and slippery for Credeur as the fight comes to an end.
Jesse Taylor wins an easy unanimous decision over Tim Credeur.
