After watching four fighters withdraw from “UFC 142: Aldo vs. Mendes” with various injuries on Friday, the organization wasted no time in finding replacements.

As previously reported, Gabriel Gonzaga (Pictured) will replace Rob Broughton and take on Ednaldo Oliveira in a heavyweight affair. In addition, the UFC has announced Mike Pyle will now face Ricardo Funch instead of Paulo Thiago and Carlos Prater will serve as a substitute for Siyar Bahadurzada to battle Erick Silva.

Stanislav Nedkov has also pulled out of his clash with Fabio Maldonado, but the company has yet to locate a suitable alternate for Maldonado.

The HSBC Arena in Rio de Jenairo, Brazil hosts the January 14th fiesta. A featherweight title bout between champion Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes headlines the pay-per-view broadcast.
