Fighters.com is reporting that sources close to the Adrenaline MMA 4 event have told them that Houston Alexander’s future in the UFC rides on the outcome of his upcoming bout against Sherman Pendergarst on September 18th. Alexander is riding a three fight losing streak inside the Octagon and needs a big win to continue his UFC career.
The reason behind Alexander competing on Andrenaline’s upcoming card is due to UFC matchmakers telling Alexander that they wouldn’t have him penciled in to fight until December.
Needing not only a payday but to remain active, Alexander has decided to roll the dice and see if he can break his current losing streak.
His last loss come in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska where Eric Schafer submitted him with an arm triangle at the end of the first round.
Alexander is best known for his knockout of former light heavyweight contender Keith Jardine at UFC 71.
