This past July, middleweight Chael Sonnen said he’d be willing to end his year-long hiatus with a “tune-up” fight against Lyoto Machida (Pictured). Although they compete in different weight classes, the Brazilian quickly accepted once he caught wind of the challenge.

The scrap never came to fruition, as Sonnen remained in the 185 pound division to dominate Brian Stann UFC 136 and Machida was submitted by reigning light heavyweight king Jon Jones at UFC 140.

However, after having his left elbow surgically-repaired, it appears Machida still has his sights set on the chatty one-time political hopeful.

“Chael Sonnen, just got out of surgery, but can give you your gift inside the octagon with one arm and all you have to do is accept the fight,” Machida tweeted.

As we all know fully well, news travels fast in the Twitter universe. With only 140 characters at his disposal, Sonnen promptly turned down “The Dragon’s” challenge in true Uncle Chael fashion.

“I don’t have time for “pee pee” mouth. All the time I can spare him is enough to cold cock him and walk away,” Sonnen wrote in response.

Just in case you forgot, if that’s at all possible, Machida likes to start off each day by drinking a fresh glass of his own urine. Sonnen, on the other hand, has a pivotal middleweight top contender bout against Mark Munoz when the UFC returns to FOX on January 28th.
