Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal (Pictured) brought the pain on Saturday night when he posted the first blemish on Lorenz Larkin’s résumé. The former Strikeforce light heavyweight champ continued his attack at the post-fight press conference by verbally assaulting a couple of other 205-pounders.
King Mo was asked who he’d like to face in his next scrap. Several fighters were mentioned, and bitter rival Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s name came up first.
“Why you got bring up that bum’s name?” Lawal asked. “If [Rampage] wants to come to Strikeforce and get beat, he can. To me, he needs to stick to acting and doing movies. To me in my mind and in my eyes, he don’t got it no more.
“He can hit me up on Twitter and talk trash, trying get me off my game, but we all know the truth. Man, he’s an actor – a sub-par actor. He should’ve got ‘The B-Team,’ not ‘The A-Team.'”
Alrighty then. Well, how would you feel about a rematch with Gegard…
“Don’t say Mousasi’s name or I’m going to fall asleep,” Lawal stated. “He’s the most boring person in MMA. If they want me to beat Mousasi, or ‘Kermit’, up, I’ll do it.”
Lawal already owns a convincing win over Mousasi, so it’s understandable why he’s not interested in another dance with the Armenian. However, King Mo is adamant about avenging his loss to the man that took his crown from him.
“I’d rather see me fight [Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante] because he’s got a win over me and I’ll come and bring it,” he told Showtime. “Feijao is a respectable fighter. He gave Dan [Henderson] all he could handle, and I like Feijao and he likes me, but we gotta fight. I gotta get this victory back.”
