According to Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director Keith Kizer, all 19 UFC 141 contestants tested for prohibited substances produced negative results.
Because Alistair Overeem (Pictured) took the “wrong” pre-fight drug test prior to the December 30th event, he was forced to submit several exams – two before his scrap with Brock Lesnar and one on fight night.
The former Strikeforce heavyweight champ didn’t register a positive read on any of his screenings. As part of the conditional license the NSAC granted Overeem for UFC 141, “The Demolition Man” is subject to two random post-fight tests over the next six months at his own expense.
As UFC president Dana White put it, “Overeem’s the most tested athlete in professional sports.”
The only fighter that was not drug screened was Jon Fitch. We are still awaiting a response as to why the former welterweight top contender was not asked to provide a urinalysis.
UFC 141 took place inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
