The war of words between former Strikeforce featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and Ronda Rousey (Pictured) heated up on Monday, and ironically, neither of them uttered a single word. The exchange actually took place on Twitter, with Cyborg thumbing out the first post early this morning.
“Próxima vitima (‘next victim’ in Portuguese)… Ronda!!! No mercy!!!” Cyborg wrote accompanied by a photoshopped picture of Gina Carano’s battered face after their highly-anticipated fight in August 2009.
Although Rousey has her plate full preparing for a bantamweight title scrap against champ Miesha Tate, it didn’t stop her from responding to the suspended fighter in classic Ronda Rousey fashion.
“@criscyborg you don’t just have a [d***], you are a [d***] for posting that picture of Gina, you cheater,” Rousey countered.
Prior to testing positive for stanozolol metabolites, Cyborg was considered by most as the baddest female walking the face of the earth. However, since getting busted and stripped of her belt, many of her peers, including Rousey, have bashed the Brazilian for her cheating ways.
Cyborg claimed she was unaware the banned substances were contained in the dietary supplement she consumed. However, the 26-year-old will not appeal the year-long suspension handed down by the California State Athletic Commission.
