According to ESPN.com’s “Inside MMA” host Jon Anik, a lightweight bout between Frankie Edgar and Kurt Pellegrino is slated to go down at “The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale” on December 5th.
Edgar holds a dominant 10-1 pro record, with his only blip coming at the hands of Gray Maynard in April of 2008. Since that minor setback, the Jersey Boy has bounced back with consecutive wins over Hermes Franca and most recently, former lightweight champ Sean Sherk at UFC 98.
Pellegrino is quietly riding a three-fight winning streak, defeating the likes of Josh Neer, Robert Emerson and Thiago Tavares. Posting a win over a fighter the caliber of Edgar would certainly catapult him up the UFC’s steep lightweight ladder.
“TUF 10 Finale” is rumored to be taking place inside the The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be broadcast live on Spike TV.
Here are all of the contestants rumored to be performing on the fight card:
Rousimar Palhares vs. Alessio Sakara
Dennis Hallman and John Howard
Frankie Edgar vs. Kurt Pellegrino
Jon Jones vs. Matt Hamill
