Although welterweight king Georges St-Pierre and his surgically-repaired knee has yet to be confirmed as Carlos Condit’s next opponent, it hasn’t stopped the Gambling Gods from dropping their two cents on the subject.
The 170-pounders were initially slated to square-off at UFC 137, but a last-minute injury suffered by GSP forced him out of the shootout. Nonetheless, there was a betting line released for that matchup before he was scratched.
Despite collecting a win over Nick Diaz to capture the interim welterweight crown this past Saturday, Condit’s odds of beating St-Pierre barely increased. He was initially rated as a +285 longshot and now checks in as a +270 underdog.
“Rush” was originally pegged as a -365 odds-on favorite. He’s now a 3.5-to-1 favorite to unify the title.
