Season 10 of “The Ultimate Fighter” promises to be the most interesting to date as former street fighter Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson officially enters the Octagon in hopes of securing the highly-coveted six-figure UFC contract, as well legitimizing himself as a professional mixed martial artist.
Even though Slice won’t have to fight to get into the house, his road to winning the heavyweight crown won’t be easy as he could potentially face experienced heavyweights and talented opponents that could easily embarrass him.
On top of Slice’s appearance on the Spike TV show, former UFC light heavyweight champions and bitter rivals Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and “Sugar” Rashad Evans will be the opposing coaches on this season’s edition or the reality show.
Unfortunately, it appears that there won’t be a bout between the coaches following the season, at least not until after Jackson finishes playing the role of B.A. Baracus on the upcoming film “The A-Team.”
Another interesting note regarding this season’s cast is that there are four former NFL players vying for UFC super-stardom.
Here’s a list of all of the combatants on this season’s “The Ultimate Fighter”:
Marcus Jones (Former NFL player)
Scott Junk (Competed at UFC 76)
John Madsen (Defeated Brock Lesnar in High School wrestling)
Matt Mitrione (Former NFL player)
Roy Nelson (First and only IFL Heavyweight champion)
Brendan Schaub (Former NFL & AFL player)
Wes Shivers (Former NFL player)
Wes Sims (UFC veteran)
Mike Wessel (UFC veteran)
