Chalk another one up for the good guys. At least that’s probably what Authentic Sports Management owner Glenn Robinson is saying this morning after adding another superstar to his talented roster.
UFC heavyweight top contender Alistair Overeem (Pictured) has officially become the latest member of the Blackzilians.
“With Authentic Sports Management, I saw right away that Glenn Robinson has a system in place that allows the fighter to focus on training only, which is so important as I prepare for my UFC heavyweight title fight against Junior Dos Santos,” Overeem expressed in the press release. “ASM has a team of experts to help you grow as an athlete, from Glenn working hands-on as management to Jen Wenk handling my PR and Karen Gough running marketing, a full-time nutritionist, a finance and legal department – you name it they have it.
“After meeting with ASM, I was convinced that they can make me the new UFC world champion.”
Following his tumultuous divorce from Golden Glory, which is still being battled out in the courtrooms, Overeem joined Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Nevada for a brief period of time. However, due to the health of his ailing mother “The Demolition Man” was forced to leave the famed gym and resume his preparations for Lesnar in Holland.
Overeem previously told 5thRound that the rumors he had departed Xtreme Couture because he wasn’t satisfied with the training were untrue. It appears Overeem believes the star-studded cast at Imperial Athletics in Boca Raton will be able to provide him with what he needs for his UFC 146 title fight against champion Junior dos Santos.
