In an attempt to spice up a relatively slow MMA news day, UFC president Dana White announced a thrilling lightweight shootout between Edson Barboza (Pictured) and Evan Dunham for UFC 146 on Sunday evening.

Barboza is perfect through his first ten professional scraps, with seven of his wins coming via some form of knockout. Speaking of lights out, the Brazilian was last seen posterizing Terry Etim at UFC 142 with a highlight-reel spinning wheel kick.

Dunham has found his way back on the winning track after posting two consecutive losses. The Xtreme Couture-trained fighter has rattled off two straight wins and most recently hung a TKO victory over Nik Lentz.

The event takes place May 26th inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos is expected to defend his freshly-minted crown against Alistair Overeem in the show’s featured attraction.

Here are the athletes believed to be working on Memorial Day weekend:

Jason “Mayhem” Miller vs. C.B. Dollaway

Edson Barboza vs. Evan Dunham

Alistair Overeem vs. Junior dos Santos (UFC Heavyweight Champion)
