It’s fight week, so you know what that means – it is also blog week for UFC president Dana White. In his latest installment, White provides exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from “UFC 143: Diaz vs. Condit” as we head into this weekend’s pay-per-view broadcast in Japan.
For the first time since dropping an interim welterweight title scrap to Carlos Condit, Nick Diaz (Pictured) addresses the highly controversial unanimous decision defeat in never-before-seen locker room footage. Speaking of discussing the loss for the first time, Diaz subsequently pulled a no-show at the post-fight presser.
This is how the brief discussion went down: UFC staff, “You need to go to the press conference.”
“Ha, I’m not going to no press conference,” Diaz flatly stated.
Diaz wasn’t the only one who thought he was robbed of a decision. Roy Nelson shared a locker room with Diaz and felt he should have taken two of three rounds against Fabricio Werdum.
All three judges awarded Werdum with a 30-27 score.
UFC 144 takes place this Saturday inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
