With Dan Henderson (Pictured) sitting the sidelines awaiting his next assignment, the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion took to his Twitter during UFC 144 and provided pointblank analysis on many of the show’s scraps.
Henderson’s harshest criticism came during the card’s co-main event between prior rival Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Ryan Bader.
“Good round for Bader. Rampage has never been the smartest fighter,” Henderson tweeted following the opening stanza. “Might be just me but Rampage’s stomach is hanging out past his dicky do. Not really [able] to get aggressive.”
Bader ultimately left Japan with a landslide unanimous decision victory over the former 205-pound champ. It was his most significant win to date, which came at the expense of one of the worst showings in Rampage’s career.
“Bader fought great. Nice job,” Henderson added. “Quinton looks like he just showed up to get paid.”
Never one to be outdone, Rampage came firing back and reminded Hendo of what happened in their September 2007 tango. That’s when Rampage successfully defended his UFC light heavyweight crown against Henderson’s Pride middleweight hardware in a title unification bout.
“@danhendo I was smart enough 2 take your belt,” Jackson responded.
