The UFC put on a action packed event in their third trip to Australia. Martin Kampmann had an improbable comeback in the card’s featured bout, submitting former title contender Thiago Alves with 48 tickets left on the clock.

Strikeforce’s highly talked about female bout between Miesha Tate and Ronda Rousey went down last night. Rousey backed up all the pre-fight trash talking by taking the Strikeforce title home after a submission victory.

With an opportunity to squash the beef with Tate after her win, Rousey opted to pass after what took place during Friday’s weigh-ins.
