Ronda Rousey (Pictured) talked the talk leading into Saturday night’s shootout with Miesha Tate, and after four minutes and 27 seconds of action, the new Strikeforce bantamweight champion showed she could also walk the walk.
Although Tate was able to extend her arch nemesis further than any of her previous four victims had done, Rousey still left with a 1stRound armbar submission victory – just as she had done in all of her other professional fights.
Speaking of getting stretched out, for the second consecutive time, Rousey ripped her opponent’s arm in the opposite direction. However, the 25-year-old showed no remorse on this occasion.
“She was much more savvy on the ground than I anticipated,” Rousey stated during her in-cage interview. “She’s good, and she’s legit, but I don’t feel that bad about [injuring her arm].”
Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio hosted last night’s festivities.
