Bellator Featherweight Champ Joe Warren

Zuffa, LLC, the parent company of the UFC and Strikeforce, hosted thrilling back-to-back shows this past weekend. The planet’s premier mixed martial arts promotion will now embark on a six-week hiatus, leaving the door open for Bellator Fighting Championships to slide in and entertain fight fans in their absence.

America’s third largest MMA organization kicks off their sixth season this weekend with Bellator 60. The show features a featherweight title tilt between champion Joe Warren (Pictured) and Pat Curran. The organization also launches the opening round of their 145-pound tournament.

MTV 2 will broadcast the show at 8PM ET/PT.

For you snooty Octagon-only fans, “The Ultimate Fighter 15” also begins this Friday and airs on subsequent Fridays to help tide you over. For the first time in the reality show’s history, elimination fights will be shown live.
