Hermes Franca
vs.

Tyson Griffin
1stRound: Griffin’s stand-up looks very sharp as he’s able to land punches and kicks without putting himself in danger. As a side not, Franca looks a little heavier than he normally does. Not a lot of action in the opening round, but Franca is the one backpeddling and Griffin is dictating where the action is going.2ndRound: Franca counters Griffin and is able to land some strikes and a big knee that pushes Griffin back a little bit. This is the first offense that Franca has put together. After Franca’s outburst, Griffin is able to get back to his polished striking, mixing it up nicely with kicks as well. A straight right by Griffin drops Franca and Griffin smells the blood and TKO’s a very tough Franca.

Result: Tyson Griffin Defeated Hermes Franca via KO (Strikes) at 3:26 in the 2ndRound

Daley is landing that left hook at will, but Kampmann is starting to attack Daley’s body, however Daley lands a great combination which forces the referee to step in and prevent Kampmann from getting seriously hurt. Result: Paul Daley Defeated Martin Kampmann via TKO (Strikes) at 2:31 in the 1stRound

Junior dos Santos
vs.

Mirko Cro Cop
1stRound: As the 1stRound starts, it’s obvious that Cro Cop wants to keep some distance to land his kicks. Dos Santos stuns Cro Cop momentarily, but Cro Cop is able to push away and tie dos Santos up against the cage. Dos Santos continues to stalk Cro Cop but neither fighter is able to do anything significant.2ndRound: Cro Cop attempts a high left kick but misses as dos Santos continues to take the center of the Octagon. It seems as though Cro Cop is looking for that one straight left or high kick as he pushes dos Santos away when the two get close. Dos Santos looks like the fresher fighter as Cro Cop looks like he winding up for a homerun shot. Dos Santos eats a low blow while going in for a jab and is given some time to heal up. Cro Cop gets a cut over his left eye after eating a dos Santos punch.

3rdRound: The Croatian starts with a big left hand but dos Santos moves forward once again. Dos Santos lands a couple of knees to Cro Cop’s body and has Cro Cop backing up and eating knees in the process. Cro Cop is hurt and says that he can’t see and the referee is forced to stop the fight as a bloodied Cro Cop shows his disappointment.

Result: Junior dos Santos Defeated Mirko Cro Cop via TKO (Verbal Submission) at 2:00 in the 3rdRound

Rich Franklin
vs.

Vitor Belfort
1stRound: The fight begins very slowly as both fighters appear to be testing out the waters. A missed leg kick was the only strike thrown in the first minute of the 1stround. Belfort catches a Franklin’s body kick but can’t capitalize. Franklin gets caught with a left from Belfort that sends him to the canvas. The Brazilian immediately  follows-up with strikes to the dome until  the referee is forced to step in. THAT WAS FAST!

Result:
Vitor Belfort Defeated Rich Franklin via KO (Punch) at 3:02 in the 1stRound
