“Bellator 62” is officially jumping off inside Laredo Energy Arena in Laredo, Texas. Spike.com kicks off tonight’s festivities by streaming a handful of preliminary bouts live at 7PM ET/4PM PT.
MTV2 will then broadcast the card’s main fights starting at 8PM ET/PT.
Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos were scheduled to headline the show, but Santos missed weight by nearly 12 pounds and was removed from the event. Prindle was subsequently handed a $100,000 paycheck.
As the Season 5 Heavyweight Tournament winner, Prindle now gets next dibs at Cole Konrad’s heavyweight crown.
The opening round of Bellator’s Lightweight Tournament will now serve as the main event.
