An undisclosed injury to Mike Easton has created a chain reaction on two fight cards. Yves Jabouin was slated to face Easton at “UFC on FUEL TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier,” but Jeff Hougland has been plucked from his UFC 148 tango against Renan Barao (Pictured) to serve as a substitute.
Where does that leave Barao? Great that you asked, because the blazing Brazilian now battles Ivan Menjivar in the July 7th event.
Get it? Got it? Good!
Hougland and Jabouin meet May 15th inside Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Their bantamweight bout is expected to air during the FUEL TV broadcast.
Barao and Menjivar, a contest that makes much more sense, takes place Forth of July weekend at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada. The victor of the scrap could earn next dibs at the 135-pound crown.
