Welterweight Semifinals Pairings Set, Tournament Resumes at ‘Bellator 67’

UFC Ben Saunders Bellator

After kicking off the opening round of their Welterweight Tournament on Friday night, Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney announced the tourney would resume at “Bellator 67” on May 4th. Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada will host the festivities.

Rebney also confirmed the pairings for the four remaining contestants. Ben Saunders (Pictured) will face Bryan Baker, while Karl Amoussou meets David Rickels Karl on the opposite end of the brackets.

The winner of the eight-man tournament earns $100,000 payday and a guaranteed title shot.

MTV2 will broadcast the card’s main bouts at 8PM ET/PT. Lightweight champion Michael Chandler is slated to headline the event opposite Akihiro Gono. The 155-pounders will collide in a non-title affair.

Here are the athletes expected to appear in the show:

Ryan Ford vs. Luis Santos

Welterweight Tournament:

Ben Saunders vs. Bryan Baker

Karl Amoussou vs. David Rickels

Main Event:

Akihiro Gono vs. Michael Chandler (Bellator Lightweight Champion)*
