Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia is hosting tonight’s festivities. The show is headlined by a light heavyweight title tilt between champion Jon Jones and Rashad Evans.

Here is the play-by-play from Hominick vs. Yagin:

Yagin is a significant underdog, but is doing a solid job of staying with Hominick. He drops Hominick with a big left hook and pounces. Hominick gets to his feet, though has a cut above his right eye.

Yagin floors him again and goes in for the kill. His speed is really killing Hominick. The Canadian’s eyes are busted up – his right is bloodied and his left is swelling fast. They are back to their feet. Yagin is pouring blood from his nose. Hominick connects on a left hook to the body.

Hominick looks much more comfortable on his feet, but he can’t seem to score more than one shot at a time. Yagin eats two straight punches to the face. Now some more. It looked like he was in some trouble, but it might be too little too late for Hominick.

Official Result:

Eddie Yagin Defeated Mark Hominick via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
