With less than a month remaining until showtime, the “UFC on FUEL TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier” lineup has undergone a slight change. Octagon rookie Marcus LeVesseur has agreed to replace Aaron Riley and meet Cody McKenzie in the May 15th event.
McKenzie recently announced the swap on his Twitter account.
“The Ultimate Fighter 12” alum is likely facing a must-win predicament. McKenzie is in the midst of a two-fight skid following submission losses to Yves Edwards and Vagner Rocha.
LeVesseur makes his big league debut having won 10 of his past 12 scraps. He’s posted 10 knockouts and seven submissions in 21 career victories.
FUEL TV will broadcast the card’s five showcase fights live beginning at 8PM ET/5PM PT. Featherweights Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung “The Korean Zombie” Jung will battle in a three-round affair in the show’s featured attraction.
Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia hosts the freebie fight card.
