With UFC 103 officially in the books, let’s take a look ahead to the UFC’s next major promotion. “UFC 104: Machida vs. Shogun” will be taking place on October 24th at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Angelenos will play witness to light heavyweight champ Lyoto Machida’s first-ever title defense as he faces fellow Brazilian, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
Machida defeated Rashad Evans at UFC 98 to capture the crown and pushed his unbeaten record to 15-0 with the knockout victory. The elusive-one has run roughshod through the 205-pound division, making each victory appear easier and easier.
