UFC light heavyweight Anthony Perosh (Pictured) will roll out the welcome wagon for Ryan Jimmo at UFC 149. The July 21st festivities take place inside Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Jimmo made the announcement on his Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.
Perosh has posted a perfect 3-0 mark since dropping down to the 205-pound division. The 39-year-old was most recently seen defeating Nick Penner via TKO in March.
Jimmo will be making his big league premiere riding a 16-fight winning streak. His only career blemish came in his mixed martial arts debut over five years ago. “Big Deal” was expected to compete in January’s “UFC on FX 1” event, but he was stung by the injury bug and was forced to withdraw.
Here are the athletes expected to appear up north:
Mitch Clarke vs. Anton Kuivanen
George Roop vs. Antonio Carvalho
Bryan Caraway vs. Mitch Gagnon
Ryan Jimmo vs. Anthony Perosh
Court McGee vs. Nick Ring
Jon Fitch vs. Aaron Simpson
Thiago Alves vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
