Gone in 60 seconds. Actually, it only took lightweight champion Michael Chandler (Pictured) 56 ticks of the clock to dispose of Japanese icon Akihiro Gono at “Bellator 67″ on Friday night.
The non-title affair bumped Chandler’s résumé up to a perfect 10-0.
Gono announced his retirement after collecting his third consecutive defeat. The 37-year-old posted a respectable 32-18-7 record over his 18-year professional career.
Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada hosted last night’s shindig.
