To help clear up any confusion on who will be headlining the Octagon’s return to Brazil, the organization has released UFC 147‘s official event poster featuring middleweights Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva.
The June 23rd fiesta was originally scheduled to showcase the highly-anticipated title fight between 185-pound king Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, but the United Nations’ conference in Rio de Janeiro quickly put a damper on things.
Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais will now host the UFC’s fourth foray into jiu jitsu country.
A heavyweight shootout with Fabricio Werdum and Mike Russow serves as the co-main event. Furthermore, two contestants from “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” will earn six-figure UFC contracts in the show.
The pay-per-view broadcast airs live in North America at 10PM ET/7PM PT.
