UFC Matt Mitrione

On Wednesday, the UFC announced a pair of heavyweight affairs for the “UFC on FOX: Stann vs. Lombard” lineup.

Matt Mitrione (Pictured) will battle Rob Broughton and Oli Thompson faces Phil De Fries in the August 4th festivities.

Mitrione was perfect through his first five pro bouts before dropping a convincing unanimous decision to Cheick Kongo at UFC 137. All of “Meathead’s” fights have taken place inside the Octagon.

After submitting Vinicius Queiroz in his big league debut, Broughton has now found himself on the wrong end of a two-fight streak. It’s possible the Brit will be fighting for his UFC life.

Oli Thompson lost his UFC premiere to Shawn Jordan in March, while Phil De Fries was put to sleep by Stipe Miocic in February.

The organization is still looking to secure a venue to host the shindig, but the show is expected to take place somewhere in Los Angeles, California.

FOX will broadcast the main card live at 8PM ET/5PM PT.

Here is the event’s current roster:

Oli Thompson vs. Phil De Fries

Matt Mitrione vs. Rob Broughton

Joe Lauzon vs. Terry Etim

Travis Browne vs. Ben Rothwell

Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader

Brian Stann vs. Hector Lombard
