Strikeforce Gilbert Melendez

Lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez (Pictured) and Josh Thomson are slated to co-headline “Strikeforce: Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament Final,” but the 155-pounders have stolen some of the spotlight with the rumored injury to Thomson’s knee.

While his alleged wound might be considered a form of insider trading in the business world, Thomson claims he’s healthy enough to compete so it’s just good-to-know info in this case.

Nonetheless, Melendez has been pegged as an overwhelming 4.5-to-1 odds-on favorite to retain his title on Saturday. “The Punk,” on the other hand, checks in as more than a 3-to-1 underdog to take the lead in their trilogy.

Meanwhile, Josh Barnett is a slight -130 favorite to win the Heavyweight Grand Prix in the show’s main attraction, while Daniel Cormier is an Even bet.

HP Pavilion in San Jose, California hosts the extravaganza.

Showtime will broadcast the card’s featured fights at 10PM ET/PT.

Here are Saturday’s available wagering lines (Courtesy of BetUS):

Favorites (-) Underdogs (+)

Gilbert Melendez -450
Josh Thomson +325

Daniel Cormier Even
Josh Barnett -130
