UFC Middleweight Mark Munoz

Do you know the way to San Jose? The Ultimate Fighting Championship sure does. Just hours before their little brother draws the curtain on “Strikeforce: Heavyweight Grand Prix Final” inside HP Pavilion in California, the UFC announced the same venue will host their July 11th event.

This marks the second time the Octagon has been showcased in San Jose.

“UFC on FUEL TV: Munoz vs. Weidman” will be headlined by a critical middleweight showdown between Mark Munoz (Pictured) and Chris Weidman.

Munoz bumped his record to 12-2 in November by posting a 2ndRound TKO victory over Chris Leben at UFC 138. MMA’s Mr. Nice Guy has won seven out of his past eight bouts and is unbeaten in his last four outings.

“The Filipino Wrecking Machine” has been riding the pine since January after having 24 bone spurs removed from his right elbow.

Weidman is perfect in his four fights in the big leagues. “All American” was most recently seen taking a unanimous decision win over Demian Maia at “UFC on FOX 2.”

James Te Huna vs. Brandon Vera, Aaron Simpson vs. Jon Fitch, Karlos Vemola vs. Francis Carmont, T.J. Dillashaw vs. Vaughan Lee and Anthony Njokuani vs. Paul Taylor were also confirmed for the lineup.

FUEL TV will broadcast the main card live beginning at 8PM ET/5PM PT.
