‘UFC 149: Aldo vs. Koch’ Fight Card Filling Up Fast

On Tuesday afternoon, a welterweight bout between Claude Patrick (Pictured) and James Head was added to the “UFC 149: Aldo vs. Koch” roster. Eleven fights have now been confirmed for the Octagon’s debut in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Patrick is looking to bounce back from his first big league blemish. After posting a three-fight winning streak inside the Octagon, Patrick suffered a controversial split decision defeat to Brian Ebersole in December at UFC 140.

After losing to Nick Ring in his promotional premiere, Head rebounded to submit Papy Abedi last month in Sweden.

Scotiabank Saddledome hosts the July 21st festivities. A featherweight title tilt between champion Jose Aldo and Erik Koch headlines the show.

Light heavyweights Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Thiago Silva serve as the night’s co-featured attraction.

The pay-per-view broadcast begins live at 10PM ET/7PM PT.
