Out with Matt Riddle and in with Matt Brown (Pictured). On Wednesday morning, “The Immortal” announced he will now face Luis Ramos at “UFC on FX: Maynard vs. Guida.”
“Just signed and sent bout agreement to fight Luis Ramos June 22nd in Atlantic City,” Brown tweeted.
No word on why Riddle was forced to withdraw from his welterweight affair with Ramos. It marks the second time in four outings that he’s had to pull out of a contest.
Since being on the wrong end of a three-fight streak, Brown has managed to rattle off three wins in his past four bouts. The former “The Ultimate Fighter 7” contestant was most recently seen taking a decision victory over Stephen Thompson at UFC 145.
Ramos’s big league debut was a brief one. The Brazilian was knockout out in 40 seconds by Erick Silva at UFC 134. “Beicao” had won three straight prior to the lights out loss.
Revel in Atlantic City, New Jersey hosts the June 22nd event. FX will broadcast the main card live beginning at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
