UFC Welterweight Rick Story

The injury bug has taken a big bite out of “UFC on FX: Maynard vs. Guida.” Three of the card’s 12 bouts have just undergone makeovers due to various wounds.

Rick Story (Pictured) now has his third opponent for June 22nd, as Papy Abedi has been forced to withdraw just three weeks prior to showtime. Story will now battle welterweight Brock Jardine.

Fast-rising star Jimy Hettes has been replaced by featherweight prospect Joey Gambino. The Octagon rookie puts his unblemished 9-0 record on the line against Steven Siler.

As reported earlier today, Matt Brown replaces Matt Riddle in his welterweight affair with Luis Ramos.

The UFC didn’t report the injuries for any of the fighters.

All three of these bouts will appear in the preliminary portion of the festivities, which airs live on FUEL TV at 6PM ET/3PM PT.

FX will broadcast the main card live beginning at 9PM ET/6PM PT.
