UFC Martin Kampmann

Move over Frankie Edgar, because Martin Kampmann (Pictured) is starting to develop a reputation as MMA’s new comeback kid. After getting handled by Thiago Alves in his last outing, only to pull off a Hail Mary guillotine choke with less than a minute remaining in their shootout, “The Hitman” rallied again on Friday night to collect another win.

This time, it was Jake Ellenberger who found himself on the business end of Kampmann’s heroics. After getting rocked in the opening minute with a vicious left hook, Kampmann unleashed some knees to “The Juggernaut’s” grill to earn a knockout victory in the 2ndRound.

Kampmann also took home an extra $40,000 for ‘Knockout of the Night.’

If you were to think about it, perhaps with a couple of different judges sitting Octagon-side in his past bouts, Kampmann could easily be 13-2 in the UFC and riding a seven-fight winning streak.

“The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale” took place inside The Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
