The Florida State Boxing Commission has released the official salaries for all of the contestants who competed in last Friday’s “UFC on FX: Johnson vs. McCall II” event.
Although Mike Pyle (Pictured) appeared in the third-to-last fight of the night, the welterweight was the card’s highest paid player.
Pyle pocketed $66,000 for putting Josh Neer to sleep, with half of his check coming via win bonus.
Of interesting note, up-and-coming superstar Erick Silva only scored $16k for submitting Charlie Brenneman.
Please keep in mind, the numbers that get reported to the athletic commissions are only of what’s required. These figures do not include deductions for items such as licenses and taxes.
Additionally, they do not contain money paid by sponsors or any bonuses from the UFC. These royalties can include Fight Night bonuses, top secret discretionary bonuses, etc., which can oftentimes represent a substantial portion of a fighter’s total income.
BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise hosted Friday’s event.
