UFC Light Heavyweight Rich Franklin

After a spectacular night of MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Rich Franklin (Pictured), Wanderlei Silva, Rodrigo Damm and Marcus Vinicius each an additional $65,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “UFC 147: Silva vs. Franklin II.”

Silva was welcomed to the Octagon with a roaring ovation, but “The Axe Murderer” was unable to avenge his UFC 99 loss to Franklin. The former middleweight champ cruised to a unanimous decision victory in the show’s featured attraction.

The MMA icons took home ‘Fight of the Night’ honors for their 25-minute affair.

Vinicius earned his extra paystub by mounting an impressive comeback against Wagner Campos. Vinicius unleashed a vicious barrage to end Campos’ evening in the 3rdRound.

Damm didn’t need long to submit Anistavio Medeiros. He pocketed his 65k by slapping on a rear-naked choke in the opening frame to finish things off.

UFC 147 took place inside Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Fight of the Night:

Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva ($65,000/each)

Submission of the Night:
