RawVegas.tv recently caught up with Wanderlei Silva (31-7-1) to talk to him about his upcoming bout with Chuck Liddell (20-5-0) as well as the UFC’s unwillingness to film UFC All Access at the Xtreme Couture Training Center in Las Vegas. When asked why he was training at Xtreme Couture, the answer was simple “the guys training here are very professional” and that ”Couture is a gentleman, he opened the gym [for] me and he is an example for every fighter.” Wanderlei did mention that he brought his own coaches from Brazil, but are also working with the guys at Xtreme Couture to help him prepare for the biggest fight of his career.

RawVegas also asked Silva what he thought about the whole UFC/Dana White/Randy Couture situation, Silva feels that it’ll be over soon and that Randy Couture will be back in the UFC.

“I’m thinking in the future, Couture [will] come back to fight for the UFC. The UFC and Couture have been working together for a long time, this is a little problem.” Silva went on to say.

Well keep an eye out for UFC All Access leading up to UFC 79, because you’ll notice that it’s not filmed at Xtreme Couture. Could that have been the last straw to prompt Couture to meet with Dana White at UFC 78? I guess we’ll find out soon.
