Here’s some shocking news. Another fighter scheduled to compete in UFC 149 has suffered an injury…

This time, it is Claude Patrick’s turn to bow out of the July 21st event with an undisclosed wound. Patrick’s welterweight opponent, James Head, will now battle Brian Ebersole (Pictured) inside Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Ebersole is just 12 days removed from posting a unanimous decision win over T.J. Waldburger at “UFC on FX 4.” The man donning the baddest chest hair in mixed martial arts has rattled off 11 consecutive victories, with his last four coming in the big leagues.

Head collected his first win inside the Octagon by submitting Papy Abedi at “UFC on FUEL TV 2.” Prior to April’s outing, he was choked out by Nick Ring in his promotional debut at UFC 131.

The 170-pound affair will likely appear in the prelims.

If you’ve missed all of the switcheroos that have taken place thus far for UFC 149, here’s a recap of some of the injures that have ravaged the once-promising lineup.
