Donald Cerrone (Pictured) will be enjoying some home cooking at UFC 150. On Friday, it was announced the “Cowboy” will fight Melvin Guillard in front of his hometown peeps inside Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
Cerrone has been pleading to get on the August 11th event ever since May’s unanimous decision win over Jeremy Stephens. The former WEC star has rattled of seven victories in his last eight outings.
Guillard posted a much-needed win over Fabricio Camoes just six days ago at UFC 148. Prior to this month’s outing, “The Young Assassin” suffered two consecutive 1stRound rear-naked choke submission losses.
Although the roster for the show is still rounding it, this lightweight shootout will most likely make it on the main card.
Speaking of 155-pounders, the rematch between current champion Benson Henderson and Frankie Edgar headlines the pay-per-view broadcast.
Here is the card’s revised roster:
Jared Hamman vs. Michael Kuiper
Chris Camozzi vs. Buddy Roberts
Dennis Bermudez vs. Tom Hayden
Nik Lentz vs. Eiji Mitsuoka
Max Holloway vs. Justin Lawrence
Rousimar Palhares vs. Yushin Okami
Donald Cerrone vs. Melvin Guillard
Jake Shields vs. Ed Herman
Frankie Edgar vs. Benson Henderson (UFC lightweight champion)
