The four-man flyweight tournament to become the first 125 pound king in Octagon history culminates at UFC 152. On Friday night, the planet’s premier mixed martial arts promotion reported Joseph Benavidez (Pictured) and Demetrious Johnson will battle for the belt on September 22nd inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Benavidez easily earned his spot in the finals by disposing of Yasuhiro Urushitani in the 2ndRound of their affair. Johnson’s advancement was a tad bit complicated.

That same March evening, it was initially announced Johnson had posted a highly controversial majority decision victory over Ian McCall. However, upon further examination, it was determined one of the three judges sitting cageside had miscalculated his scorecard. The verdict was subsequently changed to a majority draw.

“Mighty Mouse” and McCall rematched last month and Johnson posted a decisive unanimous decision win the second time around.

The promotion didn’t announce whether the title scrap would headline the pay-per-view broadcast.

Here is the card’s current roster:

Marcus Brimage vs. Jim Hettes

BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald

Joseph Benavidez vs. Demetrious Johnson (Vacant flyweight championship bout)
