Former WEC featherweight king Urijah Faber (Pictured) has already been around the block and back, but UFC 149 marks a monstrous night for several other fighters looking to crack into the mixed martial arts spotlight.
What better way to get to know Renan Barao, Hector Lombard and Tim Boetsch than by watching a nine minute and 39 second video preview featuring the brawlers?
“The California Kid” headlines Saturday’s pay-per-view broadcast against Barao. The Brazilian has rattled off 28 consecutive victories, with his lone blemish coming in his professional debut in April of 2005.
Lombard makes his big league debut riding a 24-fight winning streak. The last time the former Bellator middleweight champ sniffed a loss was in November 2006.
Boetsch has rattled off victories in seven of his last eight scraps. “The Barbarian’s” only defeat during his current run came against Phil Davis.
UFC 149 takes place inside Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Canada.
