The featherweight title affair between champion Jose Aldo (Pictured) and Erik Koch has finally found a new home. The 145-pounders will headline UFC 153 on October 13th.
HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is expected to host the fiesta.
“Scarface” will be riding a 14-fight winning streak into the shootout. Aldo was last seen posterizing Chad Mendes at UFC 142. The 25-year-old assassin is arguably the baddest 145-pounder to ever storm the MMA scene.
Koch outpointed Jonathan Brookins in September for a unanimous decision victory to collect his fourth consecutive win. He was scheduled to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 143, but withdrew due to injury and has been on the mend ever since.
In addition to Aldo vs. Koch, UFC officials also announced Thursday that former “The Ultimate Fighter” contestant Cristiano Marcello will meet Reza Madadi in a lightweight bout on the card.
