Less than a day after it was announced Ian McCall (Pictured) would fight John Moraga at “UFC on FOX: Shogun vs. Vera,” the flyweight reported a knee injury will force him out of the August 4th scrap.

“I was forced to withdrawal days ago, I’ll fill u all in tomorrow afternoon!” McCall posted on The Underground Forums. “I popped my knee last week, got an MRI this week, only an LCL sprain thank god no tear.”

It is believed Moraga will remain in the lineup against a different opponent.

Moraga makes his big league debut riding a four-fight winning streak. He trains in Arizona under the tutelage of reigning UFC lightweight champ Benson Henderson at MMA Lab.

FOX broadcasts the main bouts live beginning at 8PM ET/5PM PT.

Staples Center in Los Angeles hosts the shindig.
