If you merely watched UFC 149‘s freebie prelims on Facebook and FX and decided to skip Saturday night’s pay-per-view broadcast, consider yourself fortunate and $54.95 richer.
Of the card’s five featured bouts, the fans inside Scotiabank Saddledome in Alberta, Canada rained down boredom boos during four of them – including in the main event between newly-minted interim bantamweight champ Renan Barao (Pictured) and Urijah Faber.
While UFC president Dana White agreed most of the main card would have put the biggest insomniac to sleep, he didn’t understand why the featured attraction received such a negative response. White had no complaints with the 135-pound scrap.
When the dust settled on their 25-minute affair, Barao walked away with a lopsided (49-46, 50-45, 49-46) unanimous decision victory and the manufactured hardware.
